Let me start off by saying that Rain Africa is such a wonderful brand and that I have never been disappointed by any one of their products. Using their products brings me immense joy. The fact that they harness all the goodness our abundant earth has to offer while presenting it in such a delightful way is what makes me love them so much.

And as you can guess I was super impressed with this hand lotion as well. It contains ingredients such as Marula Oil, Kalahari Melon, Rosehip Oil, Shea Butter and Vitamin E. The superstar of this cast of ingredients is without a doubt the Kalahari Melon which contains wonderful properties that moisturises extremely well while it regenerates and restructures the skin.

Consistency wise you can expect a white in colour lotion that is lightweight yet super nourishing with a subtle yet delightful scent. I have been struggling with the driest of hands for a very long time and I am always on the search for something that will take the dryness away while it is not sticky and I often find that certain hand lotions can really just satisfy my needs in only department. When it is super moisturising, my hands feel greasy afterwards, and when it absorbs fast, my hands still feel dry afterwards. I am happy to report that this product is perfect for me!

I have popped this product in my bag so I always have it on me when I need to moisturise my hands. I will definitely repurchase this product. You can go online and have a looks at the wonderful products they have to offer. This tube of love retails for R69-00.

Right, so now that I am a mommy, I’m going through more things than just finding out the latest beauty products, tricks and tips. Motherhood goes beyond that. It’s now whats best for your child, and of course yourself. How on earth can a mother look after her child if she doesn’t look after herself first.

So if you’re a mommy, you know or have heard of jungle juice, haven’t you?  It’s a ‘magic’ potion you drink to improve your milk production. Although on La Leche League (LLL) groups, they’ll tell you it holds no evidence that it does, HOWEVER, too many mommies say it has worked for them. So I’m testing it… And in my honest opinion it is working. But I have to also say that I’m topping up with formula. This is a personal choice, as my milk took a while to come in. I feel it’s due to the fact I had a c-section. I have however noticed my milk is coming in more with this juice while expressing. So my boy is having less formula.. so yay!

Now it could be just be the fact I’m drinking a whole lot of liquids which lets face it, is what really helps with milk production. But with all the ingredients one mixes, it could only be helping really.

INGREDIENTS:

2 litres water, room temperature or cold.
1 litre apple juice
1 sachet rehidrat (available at a pharmacy)
± 10 drops per litre of juice of Rescue drops (available at a pharmacy)
60ml blackthorn berry elixir (available at a pharmacy)

METHOD:

1. Mix it all together in a large bottle ± 5 litre bottle and drink it all up within two days.

For a long time I have been hearing (and well, reading)  about this Brazilian haircare brand that everyone has fallen in love with. When I was given the opportunity to give their products a try ,it had me excited. Number one, I don’t frequent haircare salons that often and yes, like most ladies, I love to have beautiful and perfect hair.

Only problem is, my hair has been a little out of sorts lately and in desperate need of a moisture boost. And these two gems could not have come at a better time.

INOAR claims that these products will intensely condition and recover you hair, while leaving it with added glow and elasticity.

They are packaged in 250ml yellow bottles with a twist cap (which makes life easier by the way, especially when you are in the shower) and the fragrance of both the shampoo and conditioner makes me think of having my hair washed in a salon.

The products itself contains Cornstarch, Beet Extract and Daymoist CLTRM. I do not really have an idea what all of those ingredients each do seperately, but combined they basically maintain the hair strand to increase bounce and elasticity, preserve colour and shine, protects from discoloration and basically prepares your hair for heat styling.

Did it work for me? Yes it did. After the second wash it was as if my hair had received an instant moisture boost, it was noticeably smoother, and my hair was extremely shiny. One would think that because it is a moisturising combo, that my hair would be ‘heavy’, but it did not weigh my hair down at all or leave it greasy whatsoever. My hair was also manageable and easy to style. Not only did this product recover my damaged hair, but it also protects my hair from heat styling after each use.

Will I repurchase it again? Yes, definitely.

There are three products in this range, Shampoo (R220), Conditioner (R220) and the Mask (350). I have only tried the Shampoo and Conditioner, but are dying to get my hands on the mask.
